HIV+ Buddy Support
The Bali Peduli’s ‘Buddy’ team provides on-going support for HIV+ clients including help with medical appointments, seeking and completing government or hospital forms for care, reminders of medications, as well as counselling and psychological support. The team also helps to ensure drug adherence and management of viral load.
The team provides transport via motorbike or car (thanks to General Motors Indonesia) to lab and clinic appointments. This is a 24/7 effort and the dedicated Bali Peduli team is on-call for health related or psychological support by phone.
Sadly, the service is also include help with the deceased in terms of paperwork, burial, and again, counselling for family.
