Klinik Anggrek Formal Opening

2nd BALI PEDULI CLINIC OPENS IN UBUD

KLINIK ANGGREK in Ubud is now “officially” open!  On the 3rd of April,  the Head of Gianyar District Healh Office, members of Rotary clubs on Bali, Bali Peduli team, and members of the local community, joined together to celebrate the official opening.  The new clinic located at Puskesmas Ubud II in Sayan, under the leadership of Dr. Ngurah Adnyana, represents a significant step forward for Bali Peduli and our work in Gianyar.

It was a joyous occasion for the 120 guests who attended the ceremony, a day that Bali Peduli and our partners have been working towards for a long period of time.  A Rotary Global Grant funded the development of Klinik Anggrek, an opportunity made possible through our longstanding relationship with the Rotary Club Ubud Sunset Bali.  Sue Winski, Club President said, ‘We are bursting with pride at the success of Klinik Anggrek, under the skilled and caring guidance of Bali Peduli and Puskesmas Ubud II Sayan.”  The success of our second clinic is a testament of the potential of public-private partnerships and to the hard work and collaborative efforts of Rotary Bali Ubud Sunset, Bali Peduli and the staff at Puskesmas Ubud II.

Since the informal opening of Klinik Anggrek in July 2013, the clinic has conducted over 462 tests for HIV and STI with 396 total patients and 771 visits.  This is evidence of the high demand for Bali Peduli’s services within the Ubud/Gianyar region.
