BUAHA Beach Walk for World AIDS Day 2014

PrintOn the 30th of November, Yayasan Bali Peduli will be joining the Bali United Against HIV & AIDS – Beach Walk in commemoration of World AIDS Day 2014.  The objective of the event is to raise awareness for HIV/AIDS in Bali, and show our support for people living with HIV.

Bali United Against HIV & AIDS is a community collective of foundations, corporate sponsors and concerned citizens who understand the problem of HIV/AIDS in Bali and are committed to ending the epidemic on this beautiful island.

Participants are invited to assemble a ‘float’ promoting their company or association and share their message to help all of us to fight this deadly virus.  Participation is free of charge.

‘Floats’ might be comprised of a banner, signs, sandwich boards, posters, balloons, tee-shirts…anything to help convey the message.

Each group should consist of 5-10 (or more persons) from each company, social club, or group of friends. Participants are encouraged to dress up, create a themed message, play music and bring friends to help us convey the message ‘ Bali United Against HIV / AIDS’.

On the day, (Sunday 30th November ) they are required to be at the assembly point on the beach no later than 5pm – in front of Pullman Bali Hotel, Melasti Beach.  The Parade will depart strictly at 5.30pm.

The HIV epidemic in Bali will not end unless we stand together, so please join us.
